New York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson was questionable to return after sustaining a knee injury in the first half of Sunday's road game against the New England Patriots.
Wilson, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, took a big hit from Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon early in the second quarter. He remained on the ground before being helped off the field by trainers. He was evaluated in the medical tent before heading to the locker room.
Wilson, 22, completed 6 of 10 passes for 51 yards before exiting the contest.
He was replaced by Mike White, who entered an NFL game for the first time. On his first career pass attempt, White threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Corey Davis to cut New England's lead to 17-7.
White, 26, was a fifth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. He has been with the Jets since 2019.
