NOTES: Johnson withdrew from the event, citing the need for a physical and mental break following his win at The Masters last month. ... No. 3 Justin Thomas is the top-ranked player in the 132-player field. Other marquee names include four-time major champion Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler. ... Mexico native Abraham Ancer is making his 103rd career PGA Tour start - and his sixth at Mayakoba - as he seeks his first Tour win. ... Carlos Ortiz became the third Mexico native to win on Tour with his victory at the Vivint Houston Open last month. He finished T2 at the Mayakoba last year, one shot behind Todd along with Adam Long and Vaughn Taylor. The event ended on Monday after play was suspended on Sunday due to darkness. Todd is the most recent player on Tour to win consecutive events - he won the Bermuda Championship leading up to Mayakoba in 2019. ... Andy Ogletree, who took low amateur honors at The Masters, will make his first Tour start as a professional. ... Pat Perez has won the most career money at the Mayakoba Golf Classic ($1,898,929). ... Matt Kuchar holds the tournament scoring record of 262 set in 2018.

BEST BETS: Thomas (650 at DraftKings) finished T23 in his lone previous appearance in 2014, when he posted three rounds in the 60s. Thomas has three top-10s in four starts this season. ... Koepka (1200) missed the cut in his lone previous event start in 2013 but enters this week with top-10s in consecutive events, including a T7 at The Masters. ... Harris English (1600) won the Makayoba Golf Classic in 2013 and finished solo fifth last year. He also finished T6 in his most recent start at The RSM Classic. ... Ancer (2200) was tied for second through 54 holes at The Masters. He has three runner-up finishes on Tour. ... Fowler (2800) has seven missed cuts against two top-10s in 19 events in 2020 but does own a scoring average of 67 in eight rounds at El Camaleon. ... Will Zalatoris (3500) has three top-10 finishes and a T16 among his past five starts on the PGA Tour. That followed a streak of 11 consecutive top-20s on the Korn Ferry Tour.
