The Texans limp into their bye week full of disappointment, but not without the resolve to keep fighting in 2020.

After falling, 35-20, to the Packers on Sunday at NRG Stadium, interim head coach Romeo Crenenl and several players outlined what was to come from the week of rest.

"We have to try to refresh our minds," Crennel said. "Refresh our bodies during the bye week. Then come back and practice, work together, pull together, to be a more consistent team going down the stretch."

Crennel pointed to the offense's ability to get going when quarterback Deshaun Watson was protected. In Sunday's loss, he completed 74.4 percent of his passes for 309 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Even in this lean time, which Watson said "sucks", the quarterback isn't giving in to defeat.

"I'm just learning on the fly, trying to stay positive," Watson said. "Continuing to lead the guys. Continuing to come to work each and every day, and try to improve. And just trying to find ways to win."

Watson said his goal during the bye week will be to get some rest.

Receiver Brandin Cooks pointed to being "more consistent in practice" as something the Texans can correct when they return from the bye.

"You just are what you repeatedly do," Cooks said. "I think we could be more consistent in practice and I think that'll show in the game."

When the Texans play their next game, it'll be Sunday, November 8 at Jacksonville.
