Carolina's defense held Chicago to 63 net rushing yards with three tackles for loss. It marked the first time the Panthers have held an opponent under 100 rushing yards this season. The Panthers recorded eight pass deflections, the sixth-most in a game in the NFL this season. The two teams combined for 18 penalties and 10 first downs by penalty, with eight whistles going against Carolina. It marked the most combined penalties in a Panthers' game since the 2018 season opener against Dallas (19).
Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was limited to 216 passing yards on 16-of-29 passing (55.2 percent) with two interceptions, four sacks and six quarterback hits. It marked Bridgewater's lowest completion percentage of the season and fourth-lowest of his career. Running back Mike Davis ran for 52 yards and a touchdown but was limited to just two receptions for three yards. He now has a touchdown in each of his last four games. Before this stretch, he had never scored in three straight games. Wide receiver DJ Moore had a team-high 93 yards on five catches. It marked the third time that Moore has led the Panthers in receiving yards this season. Wide receiver Robby Anderson had 77 yards on four receptions, his fewest catches in a game this season. But after the early afternoon games, Anderson moved into first place in the NFL in receiving yards with 566. Safety Jeremy Chinn recorded five tackles, two pass deflections and his first career interception as a Panther. Chinn is still tied for seventh in the NFL with 48 tackles on the season. Cornerback Rasul Douglas had three pass breakups and now has six on the season. That is currently tied for eighth-best in the NFL. Defensive end Brian Burns had three quarterback hits but did not record a sack. Burns has a team-high seven QBH this season.
Linebacker Roquan Smith had a game-high 12 tackles and one tackle for loss. He is tied for fifth in the NFL with 52 tackles this season.
