Falcons star wide receiver Julio Jones will be inactive on Sunday as Atlanta hosts the Chicago Bears.
Jones aggravated his ailing hamstring in last Sunday's 40-39 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The setback dropped the Falcons to 0-2 on the season.
Coach Dan Quinn said earlier in the week that Jones had been involved in the game plan for the Bears' game.
Jones is one of seven players, including five starters, who are inactive against the Bears. Others are: safety Ricardo Allen (elbow), linebacker Foye Oluokun (hamstring), right tackle Kaleb McGary (knee), defensive end Takk McKinley (groin), defensive tackle Deadrin Senat (ankle) and cornerback Kendall Sheffield (foot). Cornerback A.J. Terrell is on the COVID-19 reserve list and is out.
Jones, 31, has been dealing with the hamstring issue since tweaking it during a scrimmage on Aug. 28, Quinn said last week.
Jones has 11 catches for 181 yards through the first two games without a touchdown grab. The seven-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time first-team All-Pro has 12,306 yards receiving and 57 touchdowns for his career.
